Refurbishment and extension of the main wastewater treatment plant in Qingdao.
The new wastewater treatment plant will be designed for a treatment capacity of 140, 000 m³/d. The process to be used include MULTIFLO® Trio for primary treatment, BIOSTYR® for biological treatment, mesophilic digestion and centrifugation dewatering for sludge treatment, UV and ALIZAIR® for odor treatment.
Beijing Nº 9 drinking water treatment plant is one of the most important drinking water treatment plants in Beijing and feeds 50% of the population in the city.
VWS Beijing will upgrade one process line of 250 000 m³/d (the total DWTP is producing 1,5 million m3/day) by installing four Actiflo® and increasing the actual capacity of treatment to 331 500 m³/d.
This is our first BOT contract authorised in China in 2002. The plant, entirely automated and ISO 9001 certified, supplies 3.2 million inhabitants with a capacity of 460 000 m3/d.
